Abstract

The production of specialized academic articles on bibliometrics of public relations has steadily advanced from the 90s of the 20th century. Using bibliometric techniques, this article examines different variables of two journals that appear in the WoS browser, one American and one South Korean, which have the same title: Journal of Public Relations Research. Although we found remarkable differences between both journals in the period of analysis (01.01.00 to 07.15.15), the convergences are notable in the dominant perspectives of both journals. Finally we speculate on the nature of the coincidences and differences identified and on the factors that may be the cause.
