Abstract

O presente trabalho aborda a comunicação intercultural nas organizações e tem como objectivo geral compreender a importância da comunicação intercultural na comunicação interna dirigida a trabalhadores estrangeiros. Por conseguinte, é analisada a comunicação interna descendente (administração-trabalhadores estrangeiros) em duas organizações dinamarquesas com ambiente intercultural.

Em termos metodológicos é utilizado o método misto, recorrendo-se a entrevistas semidirectivas em profundidade às responsáveis de recursos de duas empresas (Io Interactive e LICengineering), e a um inquérito por questionário aos colaboradores estrangeiros destas organizações.

As conclusões evidenciam a existência de preocupação com a integração dos colaboradores estrangeiros e a utilização de instrumentos de comunicação dirigidos aos mesmos, com o objectivo de cumprimento das metas organizacionais, apesar da percepção de factores chave ser, por vezes, distinta junto da direcção de recursos humanos e dos trabalhadores.

 

Abstract

This article main theme is intercultural communication in organizations and its general aim is the understanding of the importance of intercultural communication instruments in the internal communication addressed to foreign workers. Consequently, the descending internal communication (administration-foreign workers) is analyzed in two Danish organizations with cross-cultural environment.

A mixed method is used, with the combination of semi directive in-depth interviews to the human resources directors of the two companies (Io Interactive and LICengineering), and a survey has been applied to the foreign employees of these organizations.

The findings show that there is concern with the integration of foreign employees. Consequently, some specific communication tools are used for this integration and with the objective of reaching organizational goals. Nevertheless, the perceptions of the direction of human resources and workers about communication key factors are sometimes different.
